I’m working with VCU’s Information Security team on cloud security and SOC operations, and recently helped develop an MCP server that allows AI models to interact with systems like SIEMs. It’s my first hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, and while it comes with a learning curve, I’ve found that researching and troubleshooting through open-source tools is one of the most rewarding parts of working in cybersecurity.”
