Agentic AI Engineer — Healthcare AI

The Agentic AI Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and operationalizing intelligent AI systems powered by large language models (LLMs) and small language models (SLMs) that support complex healthcare decision-making processes. This role focuses on building the underlying reasoning, orchestration, retrieval, memory, and control frameworks that enable AI agents to operate effectively, reliably, and at scale across critical healthcare functions.

The Agentic AI Engineer develops and maintains AI-driven solutions that support clinical reasoning, prior authorization workflows, claims integrity processes, care navigation, and operational systems spanning healthcare payers, providers, and life sciences organizations. Working at the intersection of artificial intelligence, software engineering, and healthcare operations, this individual is responsible for ensuring system reliability, accuracy, grounding, and governance in environments where decisions can directly impact patient outcomes and clinical workflows.

The role requires a deep understanding of agent architectures, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), workflow orchestration, model evaluation, and production AI systems. The Agentic AI Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to design scalable, trustworthy AI solutions that enhance operational efficiency, improve decision quality, and support responsible AI adoption across the healthcare ecosystem.
