The Linux Security Engineer is responsible for strengthening and maintaining the security posture of Linux environments supporting federal agency operations. This role focuses on implementing security hardening measures, reviewing and optimizing system configurations, identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities, and ensuring compliance with industry best practices, security standards, and government guidance. The engineer analyzes security incidents, provides remediation recommendations, and develops strategic solutions to enhance system security, reduce risk, and support effective incident response.
