Background
I am a Professor of Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering with a courtesy appointment in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Virginia Commonwealth University.
My group’s latest research interests are in non-volatile memory, AI and ML particularly for power and hardware constrained edge devices, Brain inspired computing, Neuroscience and Quantum Computing.
I have authored or coauthored over 85 journal publications on magnetic materials, spintronics and nanomagnetic devices for memory and neuromorphic computing. I am a fellow of the ASME, an IEEE Senior Member and past chair for the TC on Spintronics, IEEE Nanotechnology Council.
