Network Engineer III

This position is on the City of Norfolk’s network engineering team, within the Infrastructure and Cybersecurity Bureau of the Information Technology Department (IT). The team performs design, configuration, installation, and maintenance of the City’s critical data center and wired/wireless network infrastructure, including but not limited to routers, switches, cabling, servers, network storage, and backup solutions. The team acts in concert with other departmental functional areas, customers, and vendors, to assist in the implementation and maintenance of hundreds of applications and business processes. Collectively, network staff provide essential support to all City staff and business functions.
